Donations to the Friends of the Library are the sole source of funding for programming at the Bartram Trail Branch Library. In addition to funding programming, we purchase books, equipment, and support renovation projects. Recent spending highlights include:
New Shelving Units for the Friends' Everyday Book Sale
New Luxury Plank Vinyl flooring in the Bartram Room
New Tables and Chairs Throughout the Branch
New Adult Reference desk
We have several more exciting projects in the works soon! If you would like to donate to help us fund all of these initiatives, please click here.
Bartram Trail Branch Library appreciates the many people who wish to support their community library by donating books, movies, and other materials. Donations may be added to the Library’s collection if they meet the criteria outlined in the SJCPLS Collection Development Policy. Donations judged not suitable for the collection or for the Friends book sale are discarded.
Items must be free of mildew, mold, excessive dust, and dirt. In addition, books cannot have water damage, nor should they exhibit excessive spine damage, have missing pages or missing covers. Please dispose of this material at home as the library cannot provide recycling services.
Donations must be delivered to the Library during normal business hours. We kindly ask that items not be left outside the door or placed in the book drops. If you have more than two boxes of books, please call ahead to make sure we can accommodate your donation. Due to space constraints, we may need to decline donations from time to time.
The Library will, upon request of the donor, provide a receipt for donated items, but cannot assign a value to donated materials. Once accepted, donations are property of the Library and cannot be returned to the donor.
